1. I know it's spring all around the country, but we are actually having spring here. Meaning no snow in sight, grass is greening, flowers and trees (aaaaaaa-chooooooooooooo!) are blooming, and the air is warm.
2. Pushing the kids (31 pounds + 45 pounds) in the double jogger never gets easier. In fact, it seems to get harder with each run. What, are they gaining weight everyday? Ok, probably, but not measurably, right? Right?
3. We started taping Parenthood several weeks ago when it started, and now we have like six hours of it recorded. After one episode, I am loving it! So happy that I have five more hours to watch.
4. Fisher's favorite new library book: Dinotrux.
5. Alla was smitten with Millie Waits for the Mail today, and Fisher kept saying, 'See Mih-weee!'
6. Yesterday Alla made up a new dinosaur, drew a picture of it and ran to show me her 'jiganoteasaurus.' I was very impressed that she remembered its very long name at dinner for Daddy.
7. Fisher's favorite time of day is when Daddy comes home: Daddy home! Daddy home! Drive Daddy's car! Daddy gum!
8. We leave this weekend for a long-overdue trip to see Ron's family. The kids are so excited to see Grandma, talking about how they'll hug her and tell her I Love You. I have a feeling they won't want to come back home.
9. Except that when we get back it will be days away from Alla's fifth birthday. Five is big. Major. She looks five. 10. Took Fisher to the allergist today for his annual there to see, as Fisher says, how it's goin'. After a skin test showed very positive results for the wheat allergy, his doctor decided it wouldn't be safe at this point to do a food challenge for wheat. So, we wait another year and then re-assess while continuing to avoid wheat.

It's amazing that Alla looks so grown up - my first "memory" of you and your family was seeing Alla's baby announcement on E's fridge. I was like, um, who is that incredibly adorable baby?! And now she's almost five!
Ben doesn't like Parenthood. Or rather he doesn't forgive its inconsistencies as much as I do. Some of the storylines are markedly better than others, and that gets more pronounced around episodes 3-5. But I'm hooked. :)
She is definitely fitting the "FIVE" look. It's really going to be another year before the allergist tests Fisher for the wheat? That seems so long.
Wow J.J., Alla does look five. She looks more and more like you as she gets older. Do you hear that a lot? She is precious. And Fish is a trooper for putting up with the allergy tests. Ahhhh....poor guy!
You are right....she does look 5! WOW 5! Already! And I think she is looking more like you J.J.!!! Happy spring!
I'm cracking up....I just read that Shelly said the same thing!!!
I'm doing the I can't believe my baby is going to be 5 (or 7 for that matter). Weren't we JUST pregnant?
I'm hooked on Parenthood, too, and keep praying for my kids not to turn out like so and so and so and so... hee-hee.
cute picture! she does look so big! I have been watching Parenthood lately, I like it sometimes, but then not sometimes!
I can't believe she will be 5 soon! crazy!

I agree with all of the other comments. She really is starting to look like you. She is going from a cute little girl into a very pretty girl. And seriously 5. How does time go so quickly? And poor Fish. I hope his testing ends quickly with good results.
5!!!! Wow! Seriously, how did that happen? She does look like a beautiful 5 year old!
And I must look into that book for Hayden!
