"Beach" Day.

Being desperate for friends, I quickly located the local Mom's Club, which thankfully has playgroups 2-3 times a week. Today was "Beach Day" at Snail Lake, which, as we Californians know, is not really a beach, but a lake, because it is quite a different thing when you can see not the horizon, but the other side. Details, details. Anyway, it was really fun, the water was warm, you could see your toes, and fish just swam right up to you, which of course Alla got a kick out of. She must have signed "fish" about a hundred times.

Here's what I'll be referring to as "beach" from here on out:

Well, at least you have a sandy spot to go when the weather is warm, right? It's at least refreshing. Nice photos. Alla is so big. Miss you guys.

Lucky, lucky. I, too, tried to find the local moms club chapter but there isn't one. Unless I want to drive 45 minutes. Bah. And hanging out wistfully at the park isn't turning up any friends, either. *sigh*

Hope you're getting settled! I still can't believe the bad timing of our moves! You were even in Colorado Springs. Ugh. : )

Duh! I was so enthralled by your "beach" that I didn't even notice the banner until I read all the comments...I LOVE it! It's so Alla.

Keep us posted on the friend search. That is always so frustrating and I'm not looking forward to it next summer. You'll have to share your friend-finding strategies!

Love the new banner! Looks like Alla enjoyed her Beach Day even if it wasn't in the Pacific. . . hope you guys are getting settled in nicely!

I looove those pics. Hey, you got to call what you got to call it. It's the closest thing right? Your banner is gorgeous, and it's amazing how Alla keeps a hat on...
