We have arrived.

FINALLY!

We have been in our house since 30 June but just got our household goods 2 days ago.

Alla has mastered the stairs. She goes to the edge, sits down, turns around and scoots down on her belly.

She is a full-fledged walker, and I don't think running is too far behind.

Somewhere between California and Minnesota, she became a toddler.

She has got 75% of Moo, Baa, La La La by Sandra Boynton memorized.

We start swim class tomorrow.

Her favorite thing here so far is 'side' - also known as going outside. Because there she can play in her sand and water tray. Which is quickly becoming a mud tray. And she must be surrounded by bubbles while she does this, meaning I have to continuously blow them.

Ron starts his new job tomorrow.

It is heavenly to sleep in our own bed after a week on an air mattress.

We need a scrapbook work area/office space. Any ideas?

We miss all those we left.

I leave you with Alla's first walk in the rain. Her first rainstorm. I got her out of it just as the drops started coming, and of course the curious girl she is went right back out. And as it slowed she signed 'more,' but sadly I haven't figured out how to turn the rain on and off. Would make watering our nice new yard a whole lot cheaper.

Welcome to your new home! Have fun with all the unpacking and organizing--as tedious a job as it sometimes gets, it's also fun finding new homes for everything in your life and clearing out the "why the heck did we ship that half way across the country!" stuff. Enjoy and I can't wait to see more pictures!

I was wondering if Alla would become a toddler after mastering the walk. She looks great. Can't wait to see how the rest of you are. Glad to see things are working now electronically at least. We miss you greatly.

So happy that you've arrived in your new home!! Yay for walkers! Grace is on the move too! Her 'side is "inside"..she tells Coco "Coco 'side" because I always say "Coco, go inside"... Love the pics! I can't believe how big our girls are getting!

I highly recommend the battery-operated bubble blower... and this comes from someone who poo-poos nearly anything for kids that needs batteries. However, we received one as a gift and couldn't return it... I think they have them at Target and they blow lots and lots of bubbles at once.
Good to know you're getting settled!

Hmm, I guess this means I officially have to stop wondering if I'll recognize you walking down the Esplanade... I'm sorry we didn't get to meet when you were here, but much luck to you in Minnesota!

(This is such a small, strange blogosphere... I know who you are through Elizabeth, but also Erin, who I believe discovered me through Susie, and meanwhile there's my good blog pal Pink Shoes commenting on your blog. Will the connections ever cease??)

What an absolutely WONDERFUL picture of Alla playing at the water spout!! That is truly my favorite picture of her of all time. There's something about little girls playing in the rain. We have a shot of Mazie running in a summer shower that is also one of my favorites. Definitely miss all of you!
