These sunflowers out our back windows make me smile several times a day. I think that's their sole purpose, and why they made a repeat appearance in our garden this year...pure joy. As Alla says, everything in our garden is a miracle.
JJ, at the prison I work in one of the inmates planted a garden and in it there are sunflowers. In the midst of this concrete jungle where convicted felons walk everyday, I swear those flowers certainly brighten up the place and make us all smile, staff and inmates alike, when you see them. You just can't help yourself, they are gorgeous.

What a smart girl! (both Mama and Alla) Sunflowers make us smile here too. I think they are Jamie's favorite flower.
